Mine is going in to-day to my dealer for the essential- care- maintenance freeby. Have 20,000 km / 3 yrs. old this November so having the oil & filter change , the 3 yr. transmission fluid change, air & cabin filter change and they are also changing my fob batteries still covered under the 3 yr. warranty. I will be driving it till the snow falls and stays which sometimes is December.
The cold part , lol . Getting to drive until October 27 here is not too bad actually. I'm at 62.5 degrees north latitude. First day out this year was April 15 so not that much different than a number of areas in the country.
The dealer did all my work but said the 3 yr. transmission fluid change is not covered under the essential maintenance plan yet other dealers did it for free. What's your experience
It's covered. End of story. Ask your dealer to check again or go to another dealer.

Yes covered, I first spoke to a GMPP Regional Account Executive before purchasing two of these plans. Just another uninformed dealer
Seconded, it is 100% covered. Some dealers dont know how to code it into their system and/or are not familiar with the plans.
So I went to another dealer and they said no problem so its booked in for next Wed.
I think that's what I said to do at our last Corvette club meeting sir! I also sent you an email of the maintenance schedule and the GM letter saying that it needs to be done at 3 years.
Got it done took 2.5 hrs and no charge
The essential maintenance plan is a no brainer. It will pay for itself in 3 yrs
That’s correct Paul, I’m glad your situation was resolved by going to a dealership in London that understood what the C8 maintenance schedule actually is!!
It pays for itself much sooner if you get it from Don Le at Georgetown Chevrolet.
Can you say which dealer that is? I'll need to get the DCT filter done soon under the maintenance package, and would prefer a hassle-free experience in London.
