Anyone with experience in decoding engine #"s?

Block Casting - 3970010
On front by Water pump - K 07 79 800

The fisrt I have found online but the second doesn't seem to match anything.

there are may decoders online. However; try Binnie Langley, he knows all the codes from intake manifolds to cast dates on C3s. He is a member of the forum and owner of C3 Corvette Land - 1968 to 1982 Chevrolet Corvettes
