It seems like we have a double standard here. Why is it that Dr. Hydrocarbon is being allowed to post his items for sale in the General Discussion C8 forum yet the rest of us are restricted to the Classified section?

So, yes, it's a double standard, but for good reason. Sponsors want to push their products which is why they pay for that privilege.
Nothing stopping a member for pointing out that they put a for sale item in the classified section.
