Yeah the US guys on the other Corvette forum are saying they think we'll get back to the normal 10-20% off on Z06 cars that were experienced with the C7 generation. We'll see.

Its my opinion that the lower optioned 1LZ and 2LZ cars are the sweetspot. All the Z07 cars seem to be taking massive discounted hits.

There is Luxury tax on used imported cars too. The rule is as I understand it, Luxury tax is only paid once on Canadian registered vehicles. So any import that has never been registered in Canada is subject to Luxury tax on the purchase price plus import costs converted to Can$ add Luxury Tax and then pay GST on all that. Don't forget there is no GM warranty for imported vehicles that have under 7500 miles or 12000kms.

You must add the BAT fees and other costs ie transport, brokerage AC tax etc. to get it to Canada and that is the starting price or actual purchase price converted to /Can$ that the Luxury tax is based on then add GST. so that 24 2LZ is more like $158,000 plus $11600 Lux tax $169,600 plus GST

I don't think that is a fair statement Murr. Fair taxation where everyone pays their share regardless of income would be a more equitable system.
