3 times the battery has died on my C6. I've shut the car off and a week later I come back and the car is dead. Am I not engaging stick shift in all the way? Anyone else had this problem?

While there may in fact be an electrical problem with your car what is happening with yours is not unusual. A Battery
Tender hooked up when the car is parked can be your best friend. Someone makes a really slick remote magnetic connector for the BT for the C6.

A weak battery will discharge quickly in these cars. A new battery just takes a few days longer. Nature of the beast so to speak.

Welcome to the forum.

I had the same problem shortly after buying my C6. Turned out to be a weak battery. Black 03 is correct though. These babies love their juice... even when parked. I have no problem now with a 3 week sleep but haven't pushed it beyond that.. Read here a while back that if you leave in reverse (manual trans) with the E brake on that it helps but not too sure if that actually works. Battery tender is the answer though. Good luck.

With our six speed '05 it is supposed to be shut off in reverse and have the emergency brake on. This seems to have something to do with shutting stuff down. I know the memory seat won't go to the exit position unless the car is in reverse with the brake on. With us, a week without driving the car just isn't going to happen. ;) The car had a new Delco battery installed just before we bought it in 2012 and I have a C-tek battery tender for winter storage. No battery problems so far.

Here's mine. I always back in so I can just drive away and the magnet pulls off..this is connected to a battery tender..I leave it on 24/7. I just replaced my first battery after 7 years of service.
