What are the good dash cameras to have versus stuff to stay clear of? Totally new with this stuff and open to suggestions from those with experience. Thanks.

I have a BlackVue dash camera and I absolutely love it! The picture is amazing, and the software that it comes with is pretty intuitive. It will show you a realtime map alongside the video while it is playing to show you exactly where you have travelled and keeps track of time and speed as well. It also has a parking lot feature that can record based upon movement if so desired. I've had it a couple years, but just got around to installing it this spring. So far I am impressed.

What model and where did you buy your dash camera?
It's a Blackvue DW-500HD. I purchased it online directly from the Blackvue site. The audio is a little noisy with the roof off the car though.........
