So in another thread on another forum, we were talking about the updates that have been done and what they were for so I decided to go into system-about and see if pressing on the update would give any details.
It doesn't, but when I pressed on the build number a message in very small print came on at the bottom saying

"You are 5 steps away from becoming a developer."
I press it again
"You are 4 steps away from becoming a developer."
And again
"You are 3 steps away from becoming a developer."
And again
"You are 2 steps away from becoming a developer."
And again
"You are 1 steps away from becoming a developer."
And again
"You are now a developer."

Not sure what I am going to develop! LOL
Crazy Man!

You now own the Chevy app devops team. Make it count

Probably means you may have some extra options open to you or some super useful debug info you can share with us.

Lol. That is the exact same procedure to "unlock" any Android phone and use the "developer" options. In other words, sounds like GM is using a version of Android OS for it's interface. Interesting.

Exactly this.

GM has been building its infotainment systems on Android since 2016

This is great news, that means it's "hackable" or should I say, user customizable with custom SSH tweaks to the OS. I did this very thing with my daily driver 2016 Mazda 3, now I have full Android Auto and other custom features not enabled by the Mazda interface.

I wouldn't know what to do with it, but here is the Android help on it.
