Corvette Museum May Leave Some of the Sinkhole Corvettes As Is

by Mitch Talley on April 27, 2014

The sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum has been covered extensively by reporters from around the world.

But a CNN.com report out last week has some new information that we haven

This would make quite an exhibit to secure the walls/floor of the hole and have stairs down to see the cars. Some restored, some left as is.
This collapse is now part of Corvette history.
This would be the best Man(Woman)-Cave that I can imagine!
Maybe a glass floor with the cars underneath??
If the museum had decided to make a basement level before this happened it would have cost big dollars to excavate...They're halfway there for free!

Description reminded me of this scene from Demolition Man

It's not a bad idea. It's part of the museum's history now, and may actually be better than restoring some of these cars that are completely demolished.

Yah, after seeing how destroyed the Mallet and Spyder were, I figured it would be tough for GM to restore the cars around a lug nut.

Go Man Cave!
