lol... It came in hot... they're just cooling it down....
Actually, truth be known, it's a last flight retirement ceremony for the aircraft...
 
Just before WW2 the U.S. Army evaluated a proposal for a high speed attack/pursuit fighting vehicle. It was based on a 1932 Ford roadster equipped with a Lincoln V12 engine. The P32 was tested briefly, including trials against an Army Air Corps Curtiss P40. The program was scrapped shortly after the start of the war . Bonneville Salt Flats.
 

RF-8G Crusader​


This photo Crusader of the Eyes of the Fleet of VFP-63 was photographed at its home base, NAS Miramar, in December 1975. Note the stylized "??" (aka PP) as well as the Wizard of Id on the vertical tail.

VFP-63 took on the fleet replacement role for F-8 aircrew and maintenance personnel after VF-124 transitioned into the F-14. The squadron was disestablished on 30 June 1982.​
