Complicated story about aviation engineering with this plane. It eventually crashed and forever changed the shape of holes in airframes. Apparently squares for things such as windows were not a good thing.
Square shaped windows on an otherwise sleek aerodynamic airframe was just never going to work. What were they thinking? 🤦‍♂️

There were multiple issues that led to the airframe problems. Primarily a lack of understanding of the impact of pressurizing and de-pressurizing a metal tube over and over again. The window design was definitely a contributing factor. From an aviation standpoint however one can see that the wing and nacelle design was light years ahead of the airframe and fuselage. With the exception of the cockpit area that fuselage looks like it was just a plagiarized DC-6.

She was still a cool old bird though and like many things in Canadian aeronautic, was years ahead of her time.......

Sounds like GM ight like to hear from you Randy. Explain the benefits that round windows could bring to the C8. They changed everything else so may as well put round windows in it....

Not a warplane but I have never seen a picture of aviatrix Ruth Law. She was a barnstormer involved with auto racing all over North America in the early 1900's. The racers would run on the local fairground dirt racetrack while Law would attempt to race them from above. Chevrolet lost is AAA Racing Licence for his involvement with her.
