Ceramic Coating - DIY question??

Thinking about DIY Ceramic Coating my C8 when it arrives next month..Never done it before, but watching video's and reading, it doesn't seem to difficult if you have the time to do it which I do...
Question for those experienced in this....
I've read that some say 2 coats are req'd?? Is this true? I thought 1 coat is all that is needed until I seen a few posts saying otherwise? I have a hard time believing that a shop would actually put 2 coats on...Is 2 really needed or its it just over kill??

One coat will do the trick.

It depends on the product. More coats lasts longer. Less coats means you have to do it more often.
If you really want easy, I got this for my Malibu. Armour All

For the DIY'rs out there.
I've used this stuff for ~5 years.
One (little) bottle was enough for one C7, and 3× motorcycles.
I wouldn't recommend at regular price, but this is a decent buy, imho......
