Central Ontario C8 Service suggestions?

Butsy, my dealership charges shop labour to check any alignment as it take time to hook up the sensors to take a reading as you cannot eye ball this!
The point of this thread was to try and help those in Central Ontario to know which dealerships have Certified Corvette Specialist mechanics on staff?
Can you answer that question on behalf of Paul Sadlon so people asking will know since you go there for service?

The main reason I switched to Paul Sadlon for service was due to the larger # of C8 sales over the years, which generally means Service knowledge and expertise will also be greater, so Yes, I have no concerns with Sadlon servicing my C8 which are one of the larger C8 dealerships in Simcoe County...

They are actually the largest central Ontario Corvette dealer and they have been for years. They should have at least two Corvette specialists on staff, maybe three to cover different shifts.

In saying all that (being the largest etc...), the Service team still had no idea about the DCT filter change and when it is now req'd. They tried very hard to change my filter during my 1st oil change, and indicated that they had to change it or it wouldn't be covered if I waited bla bla bla ........I had to show them the Bulletin that was issued, and it clearly states Not to get the DCT filter changed early, and if you do, you still have to get it changed at the specified time at your cost....Vette Owner's shouldn't be the one's updating Dealerships on Service requirements....just sayin....

Exactly correct, that's why I posted the bulletin after it came out on November 7, 2022 because most dealers didn't know what was going on with the rules concerning the DCT filter and how to get the first change done at 12,000 km for free. The Home Office Letter states "Corvette customers are eligible for a DCT filter replacement and transmission fluid top off at the time of their first oil change." If the dealer does this before that milage you still need to change your filter at 12,000 km to avoid voiding your warranty. I have heard back from many members that this Home Office Letter has helped educate the service advisors at there local dealership and that was the whole point. The bigger the Corvette dealer you go to, the more likely you are that they have a Corvette Specialist on staff who knows what to do, but I still recommend you take the bulletin to them or at least the number 2022-601R02 and have them look up what the GM LOF program is about.

Mine was one of the first, if not the first, C8 to be serviced by my dealer. At the risk of offending them I showed them the C8 that had not been hoisted properly and fell off the lift. Of course he was offended until I showed him the pic and explained the weight differences.
Covid screwed a lot of things up.

That's right Murray and I was quickly at the point of needing my DCT filter changed on my 2020 by May 6, 2021. With the early cars, the DCT service was not free and it ended up costing me $862 as the filter kit alone was $244 back then. It was my hope that the members would benefit from the Home Office Letter I posted and save a lot of money by getting this service for free on the newer models after they announced the program.
