Finally got around to repairing some nasty scratches on my CCW's..Followed directions posted in a DYI forum.. I have to admit I was skeptical at first and I was a little anxious about the process as I didn't want to make the wheels any worse...
what I started with
Masked and ready
Sanded with fine grit on my B&D mouse
wet sanded with 400/800/1000 grit
wet sanded with 2000 grit
Buffed with Mothers Billet and Pollished with Jellewers Pollish
They look new again... Those scratches are gone.!! The next step is to paint the barrels with POR Glisten Epoxy Clearcoat and they're ready for action..
Its important to take your time and use the diffrerent grits of sand paper in sequence. A little patience and elbow grease pays off...
