You may or may not have realised but many of our thread posts have been slowly becoming more real time over the last little while.

As of today I'm happy to announce that you should be able to see ALL (almost) updates in realtime on our forums. This means new threads in all forums as well as the What's New Page will appear instantaneously without you having to refresh as soon as they are posted.

This is guaranteed to make you happier, younger and give you an extra 5 years of life that you would've spent hitting F5/refresh it has been said. You are welcome. :D:rolleyes:

Because of this I will remove the auto refresh on the What's New page as it's no longer relevant.

If you have issues do let me know here. Currently labelled as a Beta feature.

@Nik If I select stop auto refresh, will it refresh when something is new/added?
That's what Nik is saying. It's supposed to pop up new things without the refresh. I'm now wondering if it's my adblock that's stopping it, but I do have CCF on my allowed list..

I think there's a bug where it won't consider your own posts appropriately so that's an issue for sure.

Beyond that I'd love to hear more details as I can't reproduce this on my end yet i.e. how are you testing, browser, OS etc.

Windows 11 Pro, Chrome browser AND Edge. Default CCF theme. I turn off the refresh and sit on the page. I've tried both "recent posts" and "new posts" pages

OK do me a favour in a totally non-scientific way... Open a new tab, make sure you're logged in, disable auto refresh and stay on what's new page->recent posts for next 2 mins. I will post from my test account to this thread.

Done, let me know if anything refreshed, otherwise we'll take it privately to keep on testing...

Also do you see a green glowing circle around your avatar when you are typing in any thread?
Sorry, I left my micro. I've got chicken in the oven. LOL
