To my knowledge, Carfax and others do not record or report mechanical repairs done to a vehicle.

What's really crazy is that guys are paying US$200k on the auction sites for these things without any warranty

Geez, maybe a manual would have been a better option. Fun factor and theft prevention all rolled into one affordable package.

Seems like there has been a rash of transmission and engine failures, sad for those who have waited so long.
