Did this one last weekend. The vid !! Not the Zip-line. $70.00 for a short 150 foot "familiarization" run. Then to the top of the 90 metre tower and down this. From the platform a 200 foot line back to the parking lot area. $70.00 Cdn for that.

My wife would take that adventure in a heartbeat. Not me, never been a fan of heights. As they say it is not the fall that gets you it is the sudden stop.

Interesting video Mike, never seen them wearing parachutes for braking before. You are right it is sad to see the place in disrepair.

Just did a full day of Zipline in Maui last month.
It was 8 runs in the rain then a slippery hike down the mountain to the place the tracked van could reach to pick us up. That was cool ride. Better than the ziplines for me. Haha
One line was a real long one. About 1/4 mile with a great view. It my first time and it was fun but not worth the $1000.00 in my opinion. Although the kids likely have a different opinion. :D

The Crew... and the ride down.

1000.00 US? That's for the 4 of you I'm assuming/hoping? 1/4 Mile line would be pretty cool and needless to say Derek. Flying through the Maui skies is just a bit....and I stress...just a bit better than sailing over the remmnants of an beat up Olympic grade facility in a dusty construction zone staring at those 4 wonderful steel beam structures we Calgarians love so much. Either way, lots of $$ for a few mins of adrenaline. And like you,the tracked van would have my interest.

That was the cost for the 4 of us converted to CAD Mike. Still a lot of dough but it was a half a day to get through all the runs. I doubt I will do it again but hell ya never know. Those kids play me like a fiddle sometimes.
If you are going to try it... I hear Whistler has a really good set up. The kid... he's been on all kinds of them. He liked Whistler better.
Seems you have some company coming soon and what a nice drive....;)
And ya the van was interesting. Rough ride though. I was thinking of putting those mat tracks on my wife's H3 when she surrenders it next year for an upgrade. Now... after that ride not sure.

I've heard the one at Whistler is unreal. A guy from work is into all that adrenaline junky stuff. Says it keeps his blood pressure down !! I get the same from my car !! Lol.

And yes, company coming next Sunday afternoon for 5 days. Her first time in Canada and it's going to be a blast. Lake Louise and Banff on the schedule. A drive over Highwood pass and back to the upper and lower Kananaskis lakes. Up to Storm Mountain Lodge,Numa Falls. Her first NHL game on Wednesday. Vancouver Canucks here playing the Flames. I've got great seats in sec 213,row 13 with some help from Spence. I'm just stoked to be blessed with a beautiful woman in my car and place for 5 days. The story of her and I is quite special. But that's for her and me and my closest "Corvette buddy". I'll be making a thread during her stay.

The funny thing is that I've finally met someone who has never heard "Patio Lanterns" or " Go for a soda" in their life. She's heard of Brian Adams,Rush and the ever popular among the girls back in his day " Corey Hart". That's it for any Canadian music she knows. Lol. Yup,got the old CDs cleaned up and ready to go. Lol. It's going to be a super 4/5 days. She's so stoked she gets to cruise around Southern Alberta in a Corvette. She's only been in one as a kid and doesn't remember it so yeah.its going to be pretty special.

Those songs were great. I was living in Toronto back then and Kim was playing all over so we could go see him play easy and often. Was just a great happy atmosphere around that bands music.
Be sure and play some legendary Tragically Hip for her too Mike.
I'm not a big fan of TTH but a few songs I have on iTunes,Bobcaygeon,100th meridian,Grace too,3 pistols. She's a rocker so I see some Triumph,Rush and Saga on the playlist. She likes a few tunes from Amanda Marshall. I think she'll like the Tom Cochrane and Red Rider stuff. I'm bringing "Neruda" with me. I sent her the vid link for "lunatic Fringe" and she loved that song.
