I had my Pre-reg Carbon Fiber side skirts PPF’d , after they were installed on the car. The local company that did the PPF used XPEL I believe, and stated at the time they did each side skirt in one piece.
So a couple of overexcited 12 year old boys wanted to check out my car, and me being a nice guy let one of them get in each side to sit in the car. Nice kids, parents with them … good experience they will talk about for days/weeks/months … memories made which is awesome.
Then I got home and noticed on the passenger side the “ding” in the PPF. one of them apparently drug his foot across the side skirt and left a mark. It appears to be only PPF surface damage , good news.
How do I fix/heal this? I can see it from 14 nautical miles away (lol) and it is driving me crazy. My local guys hummed and hawed , but my opinion is they are not that great anyhow … so expected.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
I’ve never been a big PPF proponent, but gave it a shot on some expensive CF parts I bought. I can fix paint/finishes with relative ease … this isn’t in my wheel house. If the whole side needs PPF removal/replacement, it’s wouldn’t appear to be money well spent in my opinion
