C8

"You're easily aggravated."

Not the kids fault his old man has the scratch to buy him a car. We all knew guys who got awesome cars (Corvettes included) from their fathers when we were young... unlike the POS we managed to ascertain and scrounge to keep gas in the tank and tires on it. My daughter got a new(er) car from me because I wanted her to have more than I did. Ok not a high perf Corvette.
I know a guy in Fort St John who went out and bought a brand new Corvette when his son was born. Had it hauled to his garage and covered it for the kid when he turned 16. Actually that would be this year... wonder how that worked out.
At any rate, I'm pretty sure most real fathers would be gauging the attitude and risks before handing over the car. Kids are different today than the holy terrors that we were. Well maybe thats just me...

Interesting topic. Nice distraction
I don't really care that he is getting a C8 good for him , I got a well used 1978 Firebird when I turned 16 but the fact he got his before me makes me ticky especially knowing he can't even drive it yet I could easily put on the 800km break in for him!

that why im waiting for the C8 to have a really nice car, fun riding it, we have no place to track here so i dont mind if the car is not the hype of the 458, but i will be more than ok with the C8, in vegas that was a dream to drive the 458 spider but this is not affordable for me and i dont want a car of that price in my garage 8 month a year
Try lapping days with your new Corvette at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, its an awesome world class track!

haha i have the same problem with my wife, she tell me that i dont need that kind of car because the road is bad here we have snow in october to april, dont have time to ride she find o lot complaint about it, but i dont have a four wheeler no bike no skidoo that the only thing i want ! my house is fully paid and i have the money in hand so i dont have to borrow it, so she dont have any good excuse not accepting it ! she like to travel we travel twice a year so both dream will be accomplish for both of us ! right now i have 5 deposit for the C8 one place im next to order, the other place in second, third place im 8, fourth place im 9, and fifth place im 18, so propably i will have one someday
Yes - great - happy for you that you are getting a C8. I have the cash as well. Not a money issue - just, you can't have because does not make sense etc. etc. LOL

My following comment is not about the money thing. It's about letting a teenager drive a C8. At that age, kids have hormones for brains, common sense is rare. If my 17 year old wanted to drive my C7, I'd say sure, as long as I'm in the passenger seat next to you. You want your own car, let's take a look at a Civic, a Kia, maybe a Cobalt. What? They're not chick magnets. Oh well, I'm sure your personality will attract the girls. I got my son a Sportage when he was 19. Nine years later he's still driving it and I sleep at night.
