I am curious to what everyone is paying for insurance on their newly acquired C8 Z06's. The horsepower rating of the car has me wondering how much extra car insurance will be over a C8 Stingray. Thanks everyone.

That’s probably with the $1500 premium for not having an aftermarket alarm or immobilizer.

Hey .... How bad was it to install the immobilizer ?

Would that kill warranty ?

My insurance went from 3700ish to 2700ish by switching to IA and the renewal for my current contract is 4400 . I told them to eat it. Definitely shop around.

It is not an immobilizer just a tracking chip.
Not a diy if that is what you are asking? An authorized dealer (ie. auto glass shop/TAG ) will install this chip at an undisclosed location and you need to redo at 5 years mark because the battery will have been depleted as per their explanation.

Holy moley . Is that full coverage, replacement cost etc. ? And is that full coverage for the year or does it include 5 or 6 months of hibernation. Insurance costs of all flavors, residence, vehicle , liability, business have gotten to ridiculous levels. Almost as bad as Prime Rib.......

For year around but no replacement cost. I am relatively young at 38 and has 2 non-fault accidents and a window repair 4 years ago.

Around $1700 food for 5 years.
Insurance saving of around $1200/year x 5 year life= $6k - $1700 cost= $4300 of saving in 5 years plus the peace of the mind that the thieves will look for another target instead of yours. Base on my own insurance.

In Saskatchewan with no driving record A 2026 Stingray convertible is 1946.32 a year and the Z06 convertible is 1986.60. with 10 years no loss of points 1570.02 and 1602.00

I had the TAG tracker installed in my Denali last year for $400 at the
local Speedy Autoglass. They hid 14 very tiny sensors in 14 different
locations in my truck, and etched TAG on my windows.
They claim a thief won't spend the amount of time it would take to
locate all 14 and is therefore successful in deterring theft.
The insurance savings was $1700 per year as Co-operators held
my premium to the existing amount, advising me it would increase
$1700 had I not installed it.
My understanding is that they do not monitor your vehicle, if it is
stolen you call and they will advise you where it is located and you report
it to the police.
