C8 Transmission failure less than 100km driven

Hello everyone,

I picked up a brand new 2024 C8 and when I brought it home noticed that it had an oil leak. I took it to a GM dealership and they stated that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. After speaking to GM they stated that I had 2 options: Either trade this vehicle in and order a new one (and pay $2000 for the trade in for dealer fees) which would come in 3 months or have the transmission on the current model replaced. Has anyone experienced an issue like this and has GM done anything i.e discounts, extended warranty?
Go for new..Some dealerships suck at basic C8 maintenance...

Get them to replace the transmission. I had a catastrophic engine failure at about 12,000k and my small town dealership replaced it. Took about 5 weeks but I have 19,000 k on it and it seems flawless so far. I guess if I keep it for 20 years I won’t be able to sell as a “matching numbers” car?

Will this show up on a carfax report because I'm not paying the same price for a used car that had the DCT replaced, also if you do have Spencer's replace it I've read others have received extended warranties from GM as compensation
