C8.R Rear Wing

Looks like areolarri has come out with a C8.R style 2-post rear wing. Not sure what to think of it. It looks good in some angles but not as good in other angles.

I don't like wings myself, but to me it looks just as good as the high wing you lost. Be easier to open and load the trunk also

I like the 2-post design, but there is something that's not looking right to me. Maybe it's too high? Or too many exposed bolts or the angle. Not sure...

Also not sure I like bolting through the lid. Seems to me a lot harder to fix/replace it rather then the rear fascia.
But, like I said I don't like wings myself so I'm the wrong guy to ask. Even though you didn't ask!

The other question is will the deck lid handle the extra downforce?

It does adjust to 3 diff angles but man o man the force on that poor lid

I think it's maybe too racecar'ish for me. Too high, too many screws showing. Should be a little more polished for a road car. Someone needs to come up with one like they have on the Huracan Evo.

I agree Sparro, this wing design looks too much racecar'ish, for someone who just wants the car for everyday driving and not for racing.

So you either get a wing delete or a non Z51 car as you would have 8 holes to fill/paint. Something to think about before building the car.

There is no such thing as a wing delete on Z51 cars. GM has stated that the Z51 requires both the front splitter and rear spoiler or high wing for the balance of the front to rear downforce when tracking the car.

So you are stuck with a non Z51 car or you patch your holes....great choices!

Looking at the rivets(?) it appears one could remove one of the struts to lower it.
