C8 production

Looks good, Scott. Red Mist TC was the first colour we considered, but decided to match the Wrangler's Firecracker Red with the closest GM colour Torch. I guess they're all made at the same paint plant, anyway. Wife liked the bright red. Driveway consistency?
Was the greenskeeper on break/lunch?

By the time I got back to London, I wanted to get some shots for Jack to prove I have the car as he says to "show me when it's in your driveway"! My son has a membership here as it's just down the road from my driveway and he was on the back nine at the time. The green keepers were gone and players were past this point by this time of day to finish before dark.

Was it delivered outside of town, then?
That gate (golf course) looks like one of the gates I've seen on Egremont, just outside of London towards Sarnia.
In any case, the car looks very nice. I do like that colour.
(p.s. I've been given the same "driveway pics" ultimatum from Jack, back in May at the outset of my adventure)

My car was ordered through Cullen's in Guelph, the one I traded in was from Cullen's in St Catharines.
The golf course is at the west edge of London just down the road from my driveway. I thought Jack wouldn't mind if I had a nicer backdrop for the photos a couple of hours after I got the car!

No, nine Corvettes over the years but now the third C8 and the first one I ordered for myself.View attachment 113441
Ordered for yourself, means you bought the others for ... Man, Ontarians are lucky, to have a much easier access to C8s, the rest of us.

I thought so. I dealt with Allan Hinds there briefly over the gently used 2020 3LT Z51 HTC they had on the lot. I think it was the predecessor to the Red Mist colour - a really nice car, but for a few dollars more (cue the Clint Eastwood soundtrack), I got brand new, and exactly what we wanted.
As for the golf course, we used to drive Egremont eastbound from the Hickory exit off the 402, when we had to go to UWO Medical a few years back. It was a nice lazy drive through all the little hamlets, until it became Fanshawe in London. I was guessing it was West Haven G&CC, based on the partial shot of the gate in your "Jack" pics. It's a nice drive to put some miles on a new Corvette, and I think it will see some break in miles on our new ride, when it shows up.
Enjoy. ;)

I hate not knowing names, I'm gonna call you William because I don't know what wlgj is? Just be glad Quebec didn't separate from Canada, or
you would be getting less cars than Mexico, and in case you don't know in 2022 that number was 78 cars. If I meet you some time, ask me why
we get the cars and I will tell you.

Al, was my sales guy on my current car I got there this week. There has been some issues with my transaction and PDI process, but they were great to deal with concerning my trade in and working with me on the luxury tax. The golf course is Hickory Ridge close to my house and my son has a membership there.

Wayne and I will.

He was great with me. Al.
I had set up a Saturday appointment (sort of, he said he's not in on weekends, was doing motocross, or something, but would show up if we did) with him and was going to text him when we left Sarnia, to look at the older (under 2,000kms) Long Beach Red 3LT HTC. He gave me an OTD price of somewhere near $137,500 +/- a tank of gas. That was just before the call came from Park Lane. The price was reasonable for that car considering the new car increases, I thought, but the rest is history. I sent him an email Friday night after we got home from Park Lane, explained what had happened, and expected "grrrrrrrrrr", but got "congratulations" instead. He said he just got his Z06, and loved it. I thanked him, and thought, "what a nice change from most car salesmen I've ever dealt with".
I suppose Hickory Ridge has "guest greens fees for Dads"? In the distant past, London was known for "race horses and golf courses" as well as the University, for us GTA folks. UWO Medical was the nearest place we could find 10 years ago with a legitimate neurology department, so we probably drove out there 2-3 times a year.
When I get the new ride, I'll have to bring it around, if your son likes the Torch Red coloured ping pong tables. ;)

You sound like your describing my old car when I got it. I have been texting with Al today as things didn't quite get done as I had hoped but he is a Corvette guy and got on a list himself for his Z06. I met up with him when he brought it here to show another customer in May. I didn't get to drive a Z06 until this past Tuesday which is a totally different car than mine. I am very fortunate that I put a deposit down with him in 2021 and made the decision in May to press on with a 2023 and not wait for the 2024. Every year there are constraints when the new model year launches and for some reason near the end of 2023 just about every option that had been on constraint became available at the same time. Due to the choice I made with the rims being the Q9A 70th anniversary wheel, it has covered the mistake with ordering the wrong brake calipers. I got lucky that these came off constraint as well for a few weeks before going back on constraint again.
I pay full pop when I play with my there with either of my sons. I got a hole in one two years ago while playing with my youngest son in a foursome but haven't done it with him again since.
