I understand that GM had to develop a way for the heat from the engine to escape from the rear but there must be a better option for the rear window. Getting caught in the rain or just hosing the car down causes water to enter the engine bay. Whoever develops a improved rear window will make a fortune.
 
I`m working on a way to prevent water getting in when HAND washing by using 3M 2 inch painter`s tape and some flex plastic material. This is an old trick a car painter showed to me years ago (MGB days) when masking out headlights.
I `ll post more when, or rather, if I get my C8 before first snowfall.
