Here's a shot on the lift with the 4.5's in place. On my way from the airport...pick the car up at 7pm

Total cost...tips/labor/material = $600
All stainless...fascia not removed
Solid/throaty race car sound, sedate enough when cruising, nice gurgle when slowing down. Noticeable power increase. Wife says it sounds like a Ferrari!

I love the looks and (by your description) sound.
A sound clip would be nice.

I presume you do not have NPP?

Since I do, do you think this will still work for me?

And, where can I acquire those tips from?

Thanks

Nice work Jake.....
If the goal is to have only one obstruction between the combustion chamber and exhaust tips that being the valves... Then you are close!!
I can't wait to hear a sound byte...

Jake, did you have the complete mufflers removed? If yes, are the tips simply welded onto the pipes? I have the NPP. If I had the mufflers removed and kept my stock tips with the NPP, then could I have a pipe welded from my tips to the AFM valves?

Mufflers in a dumpster...tips clamped (pic) with a tack on each side.
If removing mufflers...absolutely pointless to retain stock tips/NPP

Wow, how loud is the car and is it street legal?? I thought that by keeping the NPP I could control the noise. By closing the valves it quiets the exhaust for highway driving??

That car (in Texas) sounds exactly like I want mine to sound.
I am going to buy those Corsa tips, and do the "muffler delete" action.

Tyho, just so you understand, the NPP valves only control the outer
pipes of the tips... there is a butterfly valve inside each one (you can look directly into them and see the valve).
So it only closes the outer tips... not the inner ones.

I have NPP and am going to remove the mufflers and tips,
and then merely tuck the NPP connections out of the way.

Jake, did your guy cut your tips from the mufflers to remove,
or was he able to remove with tips intact?
I was just thinking that I might offer my NPP mufflers for sale if the tips could
be left intact.

Jake: Where did you order the tips from and at what cost? Sucks to have to have paid for NNP only to remove the mufflers? Or is removing them optional? What all came with the package?

I know the NPP valves are on the outside tips but if I leave them, could I reduce the noise level at highway cruising by closing the valves eg. eco mode? If I remove the mufflers and just do a pipe to the tips, will the car not be too loud?

I want to make sure I understand what the result will be before I go ahead with any further mods. Removing the mufflers sounds great (no pun intended) just want to make sure to car will not be so loud that I will hate it later on, and is it street legal with no mufflers???

Tips from JEGS...$293 USD shipped (msrp $484)
CORSA 14062 C7 Quad Polished Pro-Series Tips

Sounds awesome. Any drone noise at highway speeds?
