Hi Jake, Did the licence plate bracket you have on your car come as stock or is it a optional one? I notice there are others that are raised slightly over the nose of the front bumper.
I called the Dealer today they are no idea which one my car comes with.

Looks good.. not keen on the 'retainer' look either. Will probably do the same.

Yes...trimmed it...curved the smoked cover to fit with a heat gun...same rear cover...stainless screws

I believe Manitoba Vettes come with both options for free as a front plate is mandatory here.
In Ontario car comes with both pieces for the front plate. I took off the shoe box as soon as I got the car home and put on the smaller piece that fits between the nose and lower valance ... but replaced the grill today with a z06 grill. I didn't like that chrome strip.
Nice how long and hard was it to change out the grill? Any speed tips after doing it once?
It's funny how my Dealer dosen't even know I get both.
After removed most of the screws I got cold feet and had the dealer do the swap ($300 for the work). I just didn't want to take a chance and damage the panel. I have to say though, the z06 grill looks a heck of a lot better, seeing it for real then over the net. I now have the front bracket and grill for sale, $150 gets you both.
Congrats Tyho on getting her done. I did mine, and fully agree, looks much better.
If only it was that easy.
Another option is carbon fibre grill inserts for a couple hundred. It's much easier than changing a grill.

Now that the weather is a bit warmer, I finally added the carbon fibre inserts. A definite improvement over the chrome retainer. And it goes well with the carbon fiber splitter.

One nice thing about the Z06 grill is it flows 37% more air then a stock C7 grill.
