My brother is seriously considering purchasing a southern 65 roadster. It currently has a 66 327 motor that was rebuilt and then stored approx 12 years ago. It has a powerglide transmission and a removable hardtop with the entire soft top assembly missing. The car was poorly painted the year it was stored and has bubbled in several locations. The interior is completely out of the car and was stored in a nice dry basement.
Since this will not be a numbers matching car, he wishes to do it up as a resto mod. His thoughts are to put 4 wheel disks brakes on it and some larger 20" wheels and lowering the car as well leaving the body and interior relatively stock. He will need to locate a roof frame and associated parts and start the complete rebuilding processfrom bumber to bumper.
Does anyone know a source for disk brake conversions kits and suspension modfications?

Hi, yes, very common, guys usually just use the C-3 break system. Brake booster, master cylinder, calipers w/shoes and rotors in all 4s. HOWEVER, look at this think, although it is for 65 Corvettes to 82,
Installation of Wilwood Aluminum Brake Calipers on a C3 Corvette

Hope it helps
