Welcome home Marty!
I think that in a few days the memories of the good times will remain and the challenges will seem less daunting and the trip more worth it. And a good dose of sleep will give some perspective.
I'll drop you a line in a few weeks, it looks like farming season will be starting tomorrow so my trips to GP for shopping and running are on hold.

I hope to take a short drive in mine today as the weather looks so great and it will give me a chance to charge up the battery before it gets parked for a spell.
I agree with you having done the Montreal to Grimshaw trip a few times in the 1970's. Some highways were great, others still graveled. And some provinces attend to road maintenance and others seem to think that it is suppose to last forever!
If your driving experience is like mine has been in GP, you 'll start making a map of the roads that are Corvette friendly and those you only travel on if you own shares in a company that makes replacement valences!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome back Marty. Sounds like one heck of a bloodshot eyes adventure... Fyi... inside edge front tire wear is common on the Corvette. It is caused by the camber and castor set up angle. Factory angle is setup for optimum handling. Typically, the inside edges will be at the cords by 30,000 k. My C6 was at exactly 30,000 and I had to replace what otherwise were still very servicable tires. An alignment shop can back off the camber angle some which will prolong front tire life and if you're not tracking your car, won't noticably affect the handling.
