Hello, I am in need of a brake switch for my 1993 Corvette. The part number is 12529318, but this part has been discontinued and is apparently no longer available from GM or NAPA. It was suggested that perhaps the part is still being made but with a different part number.

Would anyone be able to direct me to a source for this part?

Thanks in advance!

The part number you are looking is called brake pressure swith so I am not sure it's the same but try this one if it look like yours. Corvette Brake Light Switch - On Brake Pedal - 1984-1996 Corvette Parts The OEM part number is different but sometime these number change. I hope it helps

Thanks for your quick reply Stephane. I showed this to the technician at the dealership, and they are looking for a different part. The part I am/was looking for was leaking brake fluid, and needed replacing. The dealership managed to find the part from somewhere in Eastern Canada. The cost of it is $722 (yikes!), and will be here in a week.

Thanks again!

At least you got one. I am thinking it may be a proportioning valve or another one for ABS. If you can, post a picture of the old one, it may help someone :Cheers2:

This might be the one you are looking for

Holy smokes! That is a chunk of change but as stated, That is good that you got one and your car will be up and running! It sucks that not all parts are still made for these cars. Just ask me about finding a steering wheel position sensor. There isn't a new part on the planet.
