32yrs of waiting, dreaming, begging, saving, deferring, rationalizing, drooling, longing and hoping came to a wonderfully rewarding end on Sunday.
1999 coupe, manual, navy blue metallic, 61k kms, stock except for the battery, Cray Mantas and disabled skip shift.

Only one pic for now, taken at it's current home...more available after delivery this weekend.

Let the fun begin!

Well done. Very good looking Corvette. Like the colour and the clean look.
Looks like a pretty good weekend ahead for you Man.
The colour put me over the top! Found two places online that said there were fewer than 1000 produced in that colour in '99 and it is super clean. I'll be 3rd owner, solid records clean carproof.
Looking forward to lots of good weekends!!

nice car, you will enjoy.
actually my wife is the vette driver in our family. And yes she drives like a girl, just try and catch her....hahaha

Looks great. It is amazing at the cars like this that can be found with very low mileage. Our 2005 was 7 years old and only had 13,300 miles on the odometer. Someone ate a lot of depreciation per mile before we got it. We'll probably sell ours just before we go into the old folks home. ;) Get out there and enjoy it. These C5 and C6 cars are an excellent value going for considerably less than the old musclecars that I owned since new.

UPDATE:
Pic 1 is the book that started it all. Got it as a gift when I was 12 and have been pining away since.
Pic 2 32yrs later almost to the day...
This beauty is now home where it belongs!

Couldn't have asked for a better transaction, seller even provided the original window sticker in a frame. Just a small thing but very cool to have.

Hope to meet up with some of the folks in SW Ontario soon...looking forward to Bayfield in July.

Update part 2:
I haven't had this much fun in a car since...well that's between me and her...but OH MAN!!

Talk about the stars lining up just right. The car was delivered 3 days early, insurance agent bumped up the coverage date, was in and out of MTO office in under 10 minutes with plates and registration in hand.

Came home and took both of my daughters out for nice long first co-pilot rides...huge smiles all around, and I think they get why I've been like a kid waiting for Christmas.

Used every excuse I could find to drive anywhere, and then finally tucked it away for the night. As I came inside with a Factor 11 COSEG (Corvette Owner S#it Eating Grin reference from earlier post), my lovely wife just smiled and said "you really deserve this".

I'm calling that a good day.
