Land Speed Record cars have a special place in my heart....Like the front mounted blower, so much 'backyard" engineering in these cars that go so darn fast...

That car is amazing. Such inventiveness is always impressive to me. Love the homemade headers and the custom-made intake plenum. Plus I really like the eyes on the front and license plate on the front heat exchanger. Drive it there and pull the plate out for the heavy HP pulls. excellent!

Found this pic of a SWC advertising the "Dodger Stadium Road Races". Never heard of these races before so looked on google. Found a number of race photographs by professional photographer David Friedman taken at Dodger Stadium. These photos are stored at the Benson Ford Library. Worth a look...

Bring back any memories? Loved building models as a kid but as I recall only built a few Corvettes...

One year at Christmas I got three AMT 1940 Ford Sedans, hated that car and now I had three...I have been in therapy ever since.

I’ve built a few and have some left to do.....

I have a couple more in the back of the storage room.
They built 1/8th scale Corvette models of C1-C4s.....
1957, 1965, 1978, 1982 & 1985.
I wrote to them a few years ago suggesting a C5 Corvette would be a big hit.
They returned that they have no plans at this time.
I may write them again about C5-C7s.
