Every year Gary Drago celebrates the Corvette Reunion at Back to the Bricks car show in Flint. He has what he calls his Heritage Collection where he tries to get one example of every year of Corvette made. Here are the 1963, 1962 and 1961 cars.

Another part of the Back to the Bricks show is the original Dort Factory in downtown Flint together with its own Buick diplay area. We all know the Corvette started in Flint but most do not know that it all started in late 1800's. J. Dallas Dort and Billy Durant started the Durant-Dort Carraige Company factory in the building pictured below in 1886. By 1904 Durant was building Buicks and managed the company as it evolved into General Motors. Durant was pushed out of GM but joined with Louis Chevrolet to start a new company that would become larger than all he divisions in GM combined and Durant would obtain enough shares that he took back control of General Motors again. Flint became the hub of automobile manufacturing in America and inevitably was the birthplace of the Corvette. The original building has two floors to assemble product, is still owned by GM and is now a small museum. Here is their display cabinet related to the original Corvette.

Wasn't me.... They were gone by the time I got there. Thinking maybe Murray or Nik nuked the duplicates with the permanent option which would explain why I didn't see the deleted record. All good.
