I don't get it? Here I am biting dust and in Smokey and the Bandit they drove that Trans Am thru mailboxes, over dykes, jumped over creeks etc...and in the end slid it into a parking lot with nary a scratch, dent or a spec of dust on it!
I found car type movies were so goofy that I quit watching them. Flying through the air with the greatest of ease in San Francisco and never a mark even when you could see the front end sheet metal buckling but fine in the next frame. American Graffiti was the closest to reality, yet was enjoyable to watch.

I'm with ya Keith. Looking for reality in movies or TV just results in finding very large credibility gaps.
