I am wondering if anyone know the factory rear bearing shim size for a 1978 Corvette?

I bought every parts brand new for the new rear control arms from Corvette Central and they don't list the part number for the Bearing Shim.

On my 75, the shims were of various thickness. I believe to set the toe in, you would move shims from one side of the arm to the other., using various thickness to accommodate how much you needed to adjust the arm.

You should be able to reuse the old ones, or make up new ones out of shim stock if you need.

Ok thank you. I will buy a shim kit since the original rear control arms are in my barn and they are pretty rusty.

For the rear wheel bearings the shim size is determined when you set up for your end float the link is a fairly good video

If you're in the Calgary area I have the bearing set up tools you can use.
