Day 7 was a busy day of travel, and although it was a short visit, no trip past Vancouver would be complete without making a bit of time to meet up with a fellow Corvette enthusiast and outstanding member of this forum. @nascar03 returned home from a vacation of his own less than an hour before I arrived, so I didn't need to leave my gifts under his doormat. Thank you so much Graham for your generous hospitality and the tour of your toy rooms! I promise to make more time for you the next time we meet! It was truly a pleasure to meet you and Bev! From Langley we traveled to Abbotsford to meet up with another friend that I've know since high school for lunch. He also owns a Trans Am (99 vert), and a 90 Firebird Formula which I scouted for him a few years ago. From Abbotsford I took the scenic route down the Crowsnest highway and saw some great things. One of the things that really amazed me was the sheer amount of old vehicles sitting in yards and fields along the way. I have never seen such an amount of old vehicles along a highway anywhere else in Canada! I am sorry that I couldn't take the time to stop and take pictures, but I could literally spend a few days doing just that. My choice of routes took a few hours longer than it should have, and I didn't even think about what it was going to take to get through Kelowna. I do not like that city, and it must have taken us at least an hour to get through it. UGH! We finally arrived at my dad's place in Vernon where he has a beautiful house high on the mountain above the city. Completely exhausted, I took a quick picture of the night-time view from his back deck before I went to bed. In the morning I got a couple more shots from the deck looking out over the lake, and over Vernon.
