Finished the peas yesterday. Even with the heat and wind the moisture is excellent. Still hot and returning to windy tomorrow - enough and it can stop any time. First time seeding peas on large scale in 5 or 6 years. I did 10 ac of peas 2 years ago just to try it out. Had some plugging problems with the one drill but hopefully there will not be too many blank spots!Alternator failed on the 895 yesterday, well Monday night actually. Dealer doesn't sell them anymore, NAPA has a different one that will still mate up, 160 amp instead of 90 which is fine but $500! Still need to get the tractor rolling so probably pick it up this morning. Switching to wheat today, 2 down, 10 fields to go now. We should be doing better but as long as things don't get worse might finish in 10 days. In time for Ponoka if I'm not exhausted by then. But a goal to aim for.Cheers,Garry
