We hope to see you and your friends, at the Shellbrook Sales & Service Car Show held at the Shellbrook Summer Fair - Saturday, August 24th at the Sports Grounds.

As usual parking for the Car Show starts at 8:00 am and we need you parked by 10:15 am as the committee locks the gates to avoid vehicles driving through pedestrians. Prizes will be drawn after 4:30 for Longest distance traveled, Peoples' Choice and hand picked draws from the participants registered after parking their vehicles. There are approximately $2000.00 in prizes with the main draw being a set of 4 Cooper tires.

Lots of fun for all ages during the morning & afternoon. Adults can enjoy Axe Throwing, Arm Wrestling competition, vendors & more, and always lots of activities for this kids. If you can last into the evening there will be a Happy Hour before the Rider Game with the game starting at 5:00 on a large screen, Supper is Beef on a Bun and a DJ Family Dance to follow at 9:00 pm.

Well the morning started out heavy fog , and then light rain , so I didn't want to take my 49 as it has never been wet and I didn't want to clean it underneath , so I took my 68 Impala wagon instead as it has never been to Shellbrook show. first 30 miles was rain, but then the highway was dry the last 27 miles . An hour into the show it rained so all got wet but no big deal. Later the sun came out off and on, it was warm and not windy, so overall a good day there at the Town Fair . About 40 showed up , a mix of everything and some I never seen before. Even a brand new Tesla was there . The stationery engines ran all day, one was turning a pump jack and pumped water all day long.

Nice pics Michael. Your wagon looks pretty nice.

Love those make and break engines. Would have one but other than just watch it go round and round I have no idea what I would do with it.
...
.......the hit and miss engine is kinda entertaining cause you don't know when it is going to fire, you hear nothing then out of no where there a mellow " bang " and a puff of smoke untill again later when it slows down. You could setup a imitation well in your yard like the one in the pic and pump water around in a water fall garden setup .
Yeah my wagon attracts some attention as it has the rare 3rd seat facing backwards and many never seen that before , plus the fact it is a survivor car never touched folks find it amazing the shape it is still in. One lady looked at it and instant memories came back of her throwing up as she always got sick riding in that back seat.
