Has anyone experienced, and, or figured out how to stop the audio dropout when you have your iPhone connected and a txt, email, or message comes in. On my 2024 while playing any audio feed (radio, USB, or iPhone) randomly the audio level drops by approx. 75%. After a Google search I found something that said look for "Adjust Active Phone Notifications". This would indicate that when the phone receives a notification, the audio changes. On the 2024 2LT model that option is not there. I was hoping someone had figured this out. If so please advise. Thanks
Bill

Mine, a 24’ , does the same thing. But usually there is that electronic voice saying something like asking if you want to reply to a message. Haven’t checked yet as to how to change that behaviour. I will look into it and post if I find something.

We be hooped , lol.
The volume of the radio in a C8 Corvette automatically lowers during calls or messages because the system is designed to prioritize phone audio for clarity. This behavior is typical and controlled by the infotainment system’s audio settings.
Currently, there is no direct setting to completely stop the radio volume from lowering when a call or message is received. However, you can manage related volume controls and behaviors as follows:
• Adjust call volume during the call: Use the steering wheel volume buttons or infotainment volume knob while the call is active to set the desired call volume. This adjustment affects how loud the call audio is relative to the radio.
• Disable or adjust speed-compensated volume: The C8 has a feature called Bose AudioPilot or speed-compensated volume that automatically adjusts volume based on vehicle speed and other noises. You can turn this off or adjust its level in the audio settings menu to reduce volume fluctuations unrelated to calls.
• Cycle audio sources to regain control of volume: Sometimes, when the system is controlling navigation or call volume, switching audio sources (e.g., from Android Auto to SiriusXM) can return volume control back to the radio/music volume.
• Check for software updates: Some volume issues have been linked to software bugs. Restarting the infotainment system or updating to the latest software version may help resolve erratic volume behavior.
In summary, while you cannot completely prevent the radio volume from lowering during calls or messages (as it is a built-in feature to ensure call clarity), you can adjust call volume during the call and disable speed-compensated volume to reduce other volume changes. For persistent or unusual volume issues, consider checking for software updates or consulting a dealer.
No official method or setting has been documented to fully disable the radio volume dip during calls in the C8 Corvette infotainment system as of now.

Turn off notifications on your phone for those things. I have to turn off notifications while I'm mowing the lawn as it's always notifying me of something or another and disturbing my Zen.
Your mower is obviously quieter than mine if you can hear your phone while mowing, but I also wear hearing protection while mowing too......

You can also turn on "Do Not Disturb". You can have contacts over ride that if you want to.
But then you might miss that call back from Revenue Canada  ……..A few times lately I have been backing out of my driveway and electronic Dolly pipes up and says “ sorry I can’t do that right now as I’m offline but you can make a call or get directions “ . WTF ? This is with no prompt from me . For what it’s worth, found this…..for those that may experience the same thing…..

The message “Sorry, I can’t do that right now as I’m offline” from your C8 Corvette’s electronic assistant likely indicates a connectivity or software issue with the vehicle’s infotainment or telematics system. This can happen when the car’s system cannot access the internet or the OnStar service, which it relies on for many voice assistant functions.
Common causes and solutions include:
• Connectivity problems: The C8 Corvette uses Wi-Fi or OnStar data to stay online. If the network connection is lost or weak, the assistant may go offline. Checking your device’s network settings or switching to a different Wi-Fi network can help.
• Battery or electrical issues: Some owners have reported intermittent battery drain or electrical glitches that can cause infotainment or assistant systems to malfunction. A battery reset (disconnecting the 12-volt battery for several minutes) can sometimes reboot the system and restore functionality.
• Software glitches or updates: There have been known issues with the C8’s infotainment system and over-the-air updates failing or causing errors. Chevrolet has released dealership-installed software updates to fix problems with OTA updates and improve system stability. If your system is persistently offline, a dealer visit for a software reflash might be necessary.
• Performance Data Recorder (PDR) software anomaly: Some C8 models have a software fault affecting the infotainment and related systems that can cause apps or features to fail. A hard reset of the battery is recommended by GM to resolve this temporarily.
If the message appears without prompt and frequently, the best course is to:
1. Try a battery reset by disconnecting the 12-volt battery for about 5–10 minutes, then reconnecting it.
2. Check your Wi-Fi or OnStar data connection.
3. Ensure your vehicle’s software is up to date; if not, schedule a dealer visit for the latest update.
4. If problems persist, have the dealer inspect for any internal hardware faults like a shorted radio module, which has been reported to cause infotainment failures.
This approach addresses the most common causes behind the assistant going offline unexpectedly in a C8 Corvette.
