I totally agree. Next car pls lol...Cause if he can't even advertise mods...then you find out there is some and he still doesn't know much about anything....well could be hard for you to maybe diagnose a problem that comes up...or just the worry of ...was it done right?? Maybe you'll show up and it's a full heads, cam, intake, exhaust car....who knows lol.
 
I will never buy a car from someone with a CAI, "chip" and exhaust claiming 100hp over stock. If you are that intellectually challenged to believe that, and try to sell your junk like that, I certainly don't need it. Plenty of other legit Corvettes out there for sale, without owners exaggerating what the car is or isn't.
 
I often wonder what is the threshold speed before they will stop and ticket you. I was always under the impression it was 20. Given the number of vehicles that pass me when I'm doing 115 I don't consider myself to be driving recklessly. While I may not be the best driver, reflexes are getting slower etc. at least I know if I stand on the brakes I'm going to be stopping a lot faster from 115 than any other vehicle from 100!

My detector has been having issues, the LCD is not displaying fully, odd that it would be due to the interior getting hot I suspect as when it is cooler is displays fine. But recently it even stopped giving its audio start up but I thought that I'd mis-keyed something and had it in silent mode. now I have to find the manual and see if I can get it working. Usually it is spot on and from a great distance too. No aircraft for spotting speeders around here that I'm aware of - too expensive. But I know they do apparently use aircraft between Edmonton and Calgary.

And perhaps The RCMP was just giving me a friendly warning to watch myself. But I'm also thinking enough to use cruise for the speed so that it doesn't waver or drift upward either.

As for my C6 convertible owner, still no reply. I'd have thought while he may get frustrated with lots of silly emails, after 4 weeks and the best part of summer almost gone he'd be more aggressive with answering people. And my questions are reasonable - the option package, if it is a manual or power roof, ever any SAHS warnings, if the exhaust is the twin design like the Z06 that opens up after 3500 rpm etc. You know, just reply to the email with yes, no or I don't know.....................

The M6 I'm sure is a nice car, overpriced for sure and ya 540 hp is good but in a 4000 lb plus car? I can't see the performance being any better than his C6 and I sure can't say the M6 is a better looking car either!

Other cars available.......for sure. But also remember they need to be yellow! It cuts down on the pool a lot!

The M6 could be just pressure from the group he hangs out with who knows. If the guy wanted to sell it bad enough he would answer u fairly promptly one would hope.
 
Got a reply from him just now re a Carfax request on the listing to say that he had no Carfax................

More info though, originally a US car brought in by a Lethbridge dealer. I thought this funny since this is part of the route that my Z06 took too!

I emailed the owner and kind of prodded him about not replying. We'll see if he does or if a get a PFO email instead!!!!!!

I found it funny he did not recognize my name though when he replied about the Carfax..............

And drat the house I was sort of interested in, in Fairview sold! I thought that the Alberta economy had tanked? Found it odd someone wanted a house in a small town (abet a nice house) with $8K property taxes a year.

Garry.....run away...honestly. There will be another. I have never heard anything so absurd come from a potential seller to a buyer. It will save you a tonne of grief...just my .02 cents.

I'm starting to think you guys are right.

Maybe a yellow C6 convertible is just not in the cards for me right now.

Time for me to get my feet down on the ground and get some weeds sprayed anyway.

Maybe see what is available in one or two weeks.

I only buy from sellers who deal with me they way I deal with potential buyers of my own vehicles.

When I was selling my truck, the potential buyer (ended up buying the truck actually), wanted a mechanics inspection and road test. I told him I do all my own mechanic work (he does as well and understood), and that I could still have an inspection done, but if the place of choice would not let me ride in the truck for the "road test", it wasn't going to happen (I don't let anyone drive my performance vehicles). I suggested to Skype or FaceTime and I would go over anything he wanted live in video, and offered to put the camera wherever he wanted to see something. Did that the next day and sold the truck to him within the hour.
 
Nothing much new. Recently discovered that FlowMax is not a muffler sponsor decal you see on the sides of some racing cars after all.............sigh a sign of my age? Getting tested to make sure it is nothing worse, results on the 13th. Didn't need this in my life!

50% done spraying. Showered a bit yesterday, rain forecast for today.

C6 convertible still for sale. 370Z seems gone. Still not sold on C5 convertible. Never realized that C5's were larger physically than C6's..............

Looked at other C6 convertibles, still like that the 30K one has the interior colourized though..............

Even looked at Mustang's, Camero's, Solstice's and Smart's...............

But ya, biding my time at the moment.

There really are some good points to living so far north. If I lived in a more central location who knows what I might have bought by now on the spur of the moment. I looked at a Scion iQ in a parking lot last trip, but it didn't appeal to me like a Smart. If I went that path I'd probably try the full package - a diesel convertible! Now try finding that in yellow!

Rain falling harder now. I sure love listening to it fall. It is so relaxing. Sort of like God giving the world a bath.................it smells so nice and fresh afterward.
 
16 mm and I couldn't be happier. Might have to put the camshaft back on my list come fall!!!

But yes, it really does smell so wonderful, a nice feeling of renewal, other than producing a fresh batch of mosquitoes!!
