I'm looking to track my '24 C8. I've got the Z51 package and did the Ron Fellows performance driving training last year. I was told that while the manual does suggest making a few modifications to get the car track-ready, you don't necessarily have to do all of them. I do plan on changing the brake fluid though to something whatever is suggested in the manual to ensure it can withstand the high temps. I'm also installing the plastic pieces that came with the car to vent the airflow over the brakes. Things I'm not going to modify: the camber and the transmission fluid.

So here's my questions... anyone ever track their cars? If so, thoughts on what I've decide to modify and not modify? Any suggestions?

And I'm looking for a reputable garage that can make these modifications. The dealership that is local can't do it. Anyone know of any good shops they would suggest in the 519 area code?

Thanks!!!

Give Raceready Garage a call. Dave or Nigel will help you. They are an hour away from you in Mississauga and are a sponsor of this forum. Great reputation.

How often are you going to track the car? If you are only doing it once then do the brake fluid change and install the brake ducts that is all. If you are going to do it more often then change the brake pads too for ones that will last longer than the factory ones. An alignment will help your tire wear and the transmission fluid only needs to be changed if you are 24 hours of track time or mileage or time limits are met.

Thanks for the heads-up! Good call - ya, this summer, I'm planning on taking it out just a couple times. Next summer might be a different story. Thanks!!!

Heard good things about them.
