Seriously considering installing an AWE exhaust system, Touring Edition. I live in a typical suburban neighbourhood, cookie-cutter houses, fairly densely packed in close proximity to one another, so I don't want to end up being That Guy when I start my C7 up from cold engine.

All I can find on Youtube for actual sound levels are rather misleading as to volume/decibel levels and none have any good before-and-after, OEM to AWE, sound comparisons. The people I contacted from AWE aren't really much help - and I suspect that most of their clientele just want louder/aggressive and more HP, not so much concerned about a similar situation to me.

If anyone has one of these installed on a C7 I'd sure like to have the chance to hear one in action, willing to drive a distance to have a listen at a mutually agreeable spot once the warmer weather hits.

Asking a lot, I know, but better to know what the result is before doing all that work.

Thanks!

Hey my friend. Try direct messaging @Monte04ss . He had a C7 AWE Touring for sale a while back. Not sure if he still has it but might be able to give you some advice on sound.

I can tell you from experience the AWE touring is a beautiful thing, I also deleted the secondary cats and had AFE Intake (Intake is for sale), cold start in the morning is much louder, but I keep the garage close and extra few seconds for rpm to come down its very manageable for 6am residential. I've been followed just so people can complement it at a red light. No drone compared to other setups even thought these muffles are a straight through design. I do really miss the npp however, if I has to do it again I would have just added long tubes and catless pipes.

As great as the AWE exhaust sounds, fits and looks is about as awful as their customer service. I'll never purchase through them directly and would pay more going 3rd party if its in stock.

Davenport reported 415whp and 419 wtq on crap 91 gas stock tune, with only exhaust and intake.
