Anyone Else Fascinated By Old Locomotives?

Tried without success to find some history of this picture from the Long Island Railway. Not often you see the locomotive detached from the tended especially on the line. By all the activity it is clear something has happened but just what I do not know. LIR had some horrific accidents and this may be one of them.

Ready to "Highball" on the Atchison Topeka Santa Fe...Started in 1859 it is now owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe. They have 13,115 miles of track today...

Not sure where this is, it looks like the Pennsylvania Rail Road logo but not sure. There is a station in New Jersey by the Red Bank name but does not look like it was there in early diesel era.

The Chicago, Indianapolis & Louisville Railroad, this north south railway operated entirely within the state of Indiana. Monon was its nickname..
