See you tomorrow :D

Dasilva Motorsports Rocks!

Dasilva Motorsports Rocks!

Just got back home from Dasilva and I didn't want to stop driving the car!

Its a totally different  Angry Beast!! It wants to scream!

The power and throttle response is sooo much better, the clutch and shifting are fantastic (thanks for the recommendations on which clutch and shifter works best), but the sound of the exhaust note is AWESOME, it sounds like an F1 car (before they changed this year to turbo V6's).

They've probably done this setup a thousand times and although its basic and easy for them, they made me feel like I had the best upgrade coming out of there.

Easy to talk to, addressed all my concerns and questions, and hit the target perfectly with what I wanted from the car.

Class act!

Thanks, Mike :D

Thanks for the compliment Riley.
More photos and info to follow next week. Right now I've got a Beast to Tame!

Thanks Mike , it was a total pleasure to build this car for you .

All done and some very nice results :

First couple of days of driving after a successful surgery and I could honestly say that it feels like a completely different beast. It seems to be running stronger now than it did when I left Dasilva's, as if it needed to expand its lungs and breathe.

I'm extremely satisfied with the last minute decision to replace the clutch and shifter after I missed third gear the day before I dropped it off. The MGW Shifter combined with the C6 Z06 Clutch and Flywheel are fantastic and adjusted nicely after driving it on the weekend. No more pilot bearing noise of any sort.

At idle she has this slight perfect rumble - so nice! Then at WOT it has such a strong powerful scream! Excellent exhaust setup, just right!

But, I now have a new problem - I can't stop these tires spinning!

Never mind chirping, its breaking loose in third gear with brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Tons and tons of Torque = Tons and tons of FUN! :D

Definitely need drag radials and hot weather for any sort of traction, especially in first gear. Looking forward to her last weekend out which should reach +15C.

Cheers!

(still working on uploading and adjusting photos :banghead:)

Manny put on SS brake lines, high conductivity wires, Halltech Stinger carbon air intake, AR mid length headers with high flow cats. I have a 2015 C7 z51. Car flows like it's on air with a ram jet. Couldn't be more pleased.

Wow, fantastic vette! Sounds like Manny woke up it up too, although I'm sure it was no slouch in stock form. Chev made a dramatic change with the C7 but it needed to in order to compete.
Did you own any corvette previously, maybe a C6? If so, how does it compare? There's a lot to like with the C7, but is there anything you don't? Did they make it too easy to go fast?

No previous vette so I can't compare. Yes, it does go fast very easy. I look at the speedo, change radio stations on the touch screen, look back at the speedo and I'm 15km over within 2 seconds. I was thinking of getting a used 911 but too expensive for parts/service. Got a 7 year bumper to bumper so I can sleep at night. I wouldn't trade this for a Ferrari... well actually I would, then I'd sell the Ferrari and but another C7.
