This coming Saturday August 24.

Registration for attendees is from 08:30 to 10:00 in the main parking lot opposite the service entrance bays. Show and shine goes from 10:00 to 15:00. Door prizes to be drawn between 15:00/15:30.

If possible please consider a non persishable item for the Calgary veterans food bank as well.

Following the show/shine,we’ll drive west on Crowchild trail, through Cochrane on the 1A to the Canmore A/W for nothing other than to kill a few hours and drive our cars before returning to Shag for the “Drive in” to watch American graffiti on some sort of truck that has a screen on it. That was cancelled last year as heavy rain came through in the late afternoon I recall.

I’ll post the event pic tomorrow as the graphics girl was off today Wayne said.

All are welcome to attend.

Here’s a screenshot of the email Wade sent out. The drive out to Canmore will be nice. Craig’s Way Station restaurant has been pretty good over the years. The parking lot they have is a fair size as well.

I know nothing about the other place he has as an option. I see he’s got Spolumbos coming up to the dealership.

Sounds like a good time. Lots going on. Have fun folks.

Hmmmm - not yet a member of the "club" but would like to be. Is this event restricted? Also is cash donation an option? Food banks can buy much more food with cash than we can.
It’s not really a “club” Bob. No cost to join. Just come to a few meetings at Shag, meet Wayne and he gives you a “cruisers card” good for 20% off any service. That’s all it is really. You can sign up with Wayne or Wade on Saturday if you stop by,or register your car for the show.

As for a cash donation,I’m not sure if you can or not. W and W would have more info on if that works.

After some discussion with Wayne awhile ago, after the show/shine tomorrow we will be going to Didsbury to the 582 patio and grill.

I’m not sure of the chosen route there as I didn’t go a couple of weeks ago so if it’s the same way, someone can elborate on the road and what to expect.

please write a cheque as that can be tracked

NOT SAYING THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH CASH

some of my experience with cash is it goes missing in the representative takes it home and it does not make it into the charity’s bank

NOT SAYING THAT WILL HAPPEN HERE, just being cautious

Let’s just keep the engineers on the list....😁 I am pleased a certain group did not make your list.

Well the day turned out pretty good. Not as many cars as last years it seems but overall,a good turnout. Janice and I spent a lot of time with Bob,John,Peter,Wayne,Wade and Cam and Linda. My father came up for an hour and a half and chatted with John for most of that time. Thank you John for welcoming him. Anyway,,,,

We decided against the drive out to Canmore as the day had turned out a little warmer than it called so a little bit of heat exposure sapped some of the drive for the drive. As well, some nasty clouds brewing to the west that dropped the numbers from 9 to 3.

So we’re going to plan something for Sept 8th or the 15th involving the 1A,the trans Canada and Hwy 40 and possibly into Banff so park passes will be required.

Again come one, come all. Falls colours will be well on their way.
