After two years..

It’s been almost two years (22 months) since I put my name on Spencer’s list for a ‘22 C8, which became a ‘23. It’s been ten months since I traded in my ‘21 C8 by selling it back to BS. It’s been over four months since the ‘23 was built. It has been sitting in the BS showroom while I was away in Australia for the winter. It’s been a LONG wait. Tomorrow I finally get to take delivery!

Enjoy. We need more pics, hard to keep clean but man the Black is so classy.

Very nice @Thom congrats !! 22 months huh, so around a May '21 deposit. My deposit at BS was Aug '21 but that was a backup deposit over Finch in Apr '21. Based on part shortages and plant shutdowns, and rolling lists (people dropping off), sweet spot seems to be around 18-24 months to get the car. I see you went for the "murdered out" look, all black. Keep your eyes peeled for pics of mine when fully done up sometime in June/July, I think you may like one of the mods I am doing which would go nicely with your full blacked out car.

Australia for the winter huh, and to think some Canadians simply go to Florida to hibernate for the winter, that is quite the place to hang out during our cold months here.

Enjoy sir !!

Red means stop. Arrest me red.
get black, don’t go back.
BTW, I SOLD MY BLACK C8, and got a white one for a change.
PS… White is also faster than red.
Black hides in the road and has more accidents than red.
Red stands out, indeed, but also is in less accidents.
White is much easier to keep clean surprisingly, but does stand out also. Good choice

P.S. you are sorely mistaken on white being fast :p

Beautiful car, and in the only civilized colour imaginable (in my humble opinion).
Please tell me the interior is jet black.
All my vehicles are black, including my bike, and my RV.
Yes, they are a bit (lot) more effort to keep clean, but when they are, nothing else compares (yet another humble opinion).
Congratulations.
Enjoy.

I'm nuts about a lot of things. Have had black vehicles before.. Including a full size GMC pickup. Yup, different when it come to keeping them clean, but I rarely let them get dirty. Plus I can wash indoors even in the dead of winter. Full ceramic will help. Besides, black is the fastest colour!!!!
I was told by @MY21C8 back in '21 the following (and I have since acted on those very words with my current order/allocation):
"Choose what you like. Just remember, Rapid Blue is the fastest of all the colours!!😜😜"

Just teasing, an all blacked out C8 is sweet !!! Found this video that goes with that theme...

I see the Vette cover doesn't cover the center splitter area, as if they ran short of material when sewing it together. I don't suppose there's a valid reason for it?
Not sure about why that is. May have just not been put on properly aligned. It is the salesman’s personal cover. Since the car was to be in the showroom for 4 months he didn’t want anyone even touching the car. Nice gesture.

My 2 cents, black is beautiful , look at the women, but way too much work/cleaning. White is ok but does not flash much, even if, you just waxed and washed it. As for red , attracts cops and tickets but looks great. As for my blue , it was a compromise and is my favorite color. As for fast, let us all go do a 1/4 mile then decide. :p ;)

Niiiiiiiiiice!

Everyone owns a black vehicle, once! Seriously though, very nice car. I can handle black on a spring/summer/fall weekend only fun car but as a daily driver it would drive me bananas.

I was thinking it's your own cover. I get it now. It's not a C8 cover. Likely made for a C7.
