Agreed with most of what you say.
However, who scraped the agreed current trade deal with the US?Canada?
Who started US/Canada tariff war? Canada?
Can we not muti task and criticize when warranted base on facts and not personal views/baises both demostic and aboard?
That's all I have to say.
If my friends and family members commited a crime or dispictable acts that is ok because of who they are in relation to me? No. I still love them but I don't condone their actions. And they will know about it. That's just me.

I found it interesting that two of the pieces of information they are seeking are his credit card numbers and records as well as his bank account information. I could see them having his card info but banking info? Using Google services comes with absolutely no expectation of privacy but it's somewhat astounding that so many don't understand that or it would seem care . I have been trying to point this out to friends and family for years. There are several MUCH more private and secure ways to go about your business online. And with no loss of functionality. Actually superior in a number of cases .
Unfortunately if you are using a smart phone you are leaking just as much information as google collects. Privacy in technology is a thing of the past.

Not being signed into any accounts, using a paid VPN , an encrypted email service and actually looking at the cookie permissions and rejecting all goes a long way . No point in making it easy for them . And there are still ways to install Windows without a Microsoft account or better yet try Linux. Did I mention a browser that doesn't track you or retain any history such as Duck Duck Go ? There are still ways to leave a pretty small footprint.
