It’s an ugly situation to say the least. As a Canadian, all I can do is avoid buying American products, and avoid all travel to the US and it will be a long time before I venture there again. Hearing many other Canadians are doing the same!
What I do is a drop in the barrel but at least it makes me feel good. .

The US only accounts for about 4.2% of the world’s population. There are a lot of other interesting people and cultures in over 100 other countries that are still safe to visit just waiting to be explored. I never could figure out the attraction of Florida which has basically become one big strip mall. Not to say that there aren’t nice areas and people as well south of the border but they have had their day , for now at least.

Apparently now anyone entering the US has to “ register “ with I assume “ Homeland Security “ . Although they generously said that Canadians don’t have to submit to fingerprinting. Yet . I wonder what our friend Billy Bob would think about that lol.

Here' s my take on that ..... Dougs words with regards to this situation have been ( for lack of a better word that I cant think of right now ) comforting to some Onatrians and Canadians ... because he's pushed himself into the position of pseudo prime minister ... however IMHO trusting Ford is like trusting a recovering sex addict in a whorehouse ... ( hope that sparked a grin )

But seriously .... although Dougie has seen some success in the business world with his daddy's company Deco labels ... he is not ( by any stretch of the imagination ) anywhere close to being in the league of these insane billionaires . If you google all the people surrounding the demon ... they are ALL billionaires

Me thinks that they possibly could have had some free time on Thursday and decided they wanted some entertainment to flex their power and who better to provide that diversion to them at this given point in time than some cry baby from Canada .

Remember how Trump praised Zelli at the beginning of that infamous meeting saying what a pleasure it was to have him at the whitehouse ... and we all know how that turned out .. then he kicks him out ... what a class act he is eh?

I think the demon is just stoking the fire ... like he has any respect for some yahoo from Canada who is threatening him back ...

Ford said that the electricity tariffs would be in place until ALL US tariffs were off the table now he's back tracking because they extended him an "olive branch " ... No no Dougie ... they just bought and sold you

Trumps demon press secretary said that the tariffs on steel and alluminum are going to be applied " without exception "


I feel that with regards to this " meeting " Ford is little better than calf to slaughter

Not sure where they found their Press Secretary but she certainly doesn’t come across as a very pleasant individual. In keeping with the majority of the current administration. In other words, a perfect fit. The only one who knows what Trump is thinking is Trump and often that seems questionable. Impossible to predict what’s next and that certainly seems to be by design.

Replacing the US in favor of discovering more of Canada is a great switch. Being from the far West I look forward to checking out Quebec City. To you all out East our Okanagan (Kelowna) has an international airport, fantastic hospitality services, scenery and wineries galore. Summer in Vancouver is not to shabby either.

Last year was the first time my Wife and I actually took our RV on a long-term trip (8 weeks) into the United States.
Sure there were short, isolated visits in and out, but never anything substantial.
Having been across Canada a few times already, it seemed only logical to expand our horizons.
The people were great.
The geography was terrific.
Our plans were to do the same thing over the next few years, altering routes until we had essentially 'passed through' most states.
It's not cheap travelling, and while I'm sure our contribution to the U.S.'s tourism industry goes relatively unnoticed, it was significant.
Now, with the way things are, forget that nonsense.
I'll be sticking to Canada, thank you very much.
We still have the Northwest Territories and Nunavut to check out, so there is no shortage of natural beauty to behold.

Adding to this change in attitude, is our company's annual 'team building' excursions.
We have taken a group (usually around 10 - 12 people) on 4 day 'outings', either to Vegas or Miami, every year for the last 10 years.
Guess what?
Not anymore.
This year it will be stay 'home', meaning Canada, or stay 'home', meaning if you don't like it, don't come with the rest of us.
I'll not be spending hard-earned money in the States, only for this clown to blame his problems on us.

It's utterly amazing how this one man can singlehandedly drive a wedge between old friends and allies.
I truly wish the American people would wake up and put a stop to all of his antics, before it is simply too late.
