Apparently 30 Billion of counter tariffs right away at 25% followed by another 100 Billion eventually. I think the border excuse is just that, an excuse. “ They “ say there are possibly 1.5 million Canadians at risk of losing their jobs over the next year. It’s going to be ugly . Throw in a 60 cent Canadian dollar and Owch . That just compounds the hit from the tariff cash grab with so many commodities being priced in USD . Also makes travel outside of the country more expensive not that it isn’t now . Oh joy .

DJT is just playing to his MAGOT fan base with everything he says. There is more fentanyl coming in to Canada from the US that the other way around. WHY doesn't someone in te governing party state this? Still too wishy washy for me.
Just watched a doc on Churchill. Interesting to see the play out of Chamberlain negotiating with Hitler over divvying up Czechoslovakia so Adolf wouldn't start another world war. Germany went on to take the whole of Czechoslovakia while the rest of Europe twiddled their thumbs. Putin won't stop until he has the whole of the Ukraine while maybe conceding some beach front land to DJT as a thankyou so DJT can build another trump hotel . Junior has also scouted out the water front over there.

There are few in the current administration that aren’t afraid of Trump. They don’t dare challenge him or they are out the door. Even scarier is the thought of Creepy Junior being groomed to take over if Trump can’t get the constitution changed so he can run for a third term. Fortunately it does seem that that’s quite unlikely but so we’re a lot of the things they are doing now. Interesting and disconcerting times for sure.

I think there is a method to Trumps madness regarding Russia. The Russians and Chinese have been very cozy as of late even holding joint military exercises. Add the cooperation with the North Korean maniac and the balance of power was starting to shift. They have or had been discussing how to replace the USD as the world’s major trading currency. This has the Americans very concerned as it should.
Trump thinks that by placating Putin by cutting sanctions and even going so far as to suggesting that the Ruskies be allowed back into the group of seven which would again become the group of eight that he can reduce that perceived threat. Hence his position on Ukraine as well. As distasteful as that seems perhaps on this point he may actually, and I hate to say it, be on the right track.

That's playing with fire! In his first term he befriended Putin and emboldened him to invade Ukraine. I know it happened a year after, but it takes time to ready an army for invasion.

The only track DJT is on is losing his mind.
If anything DJT will hasten the replacement of the US$ as a world currency because no one will want to deal with a country that will not abide by their own signatures.
His mind is sick and the idiots he has surrounding himself with are taking advantage of his stupidity.

Can’t argue with that but there is actual basis in fact for what I said in my previous post. And yes this is taken from an AI search engine but the facts remain the same. And most likely talks on other matters that haven’t come to light.

Although i agree with the "facts" even if AI generated, China will work with anyone who can help them advance their own purposes.
The Ukraine has shown that where once Russia was deemed a great military power they have proven themselves as mediocre at best, having to draw on other countries for weapon systems and manpower, let alone their own prisons. Not to mention that the Ukraine is still quite capable of destroying some Russian infrastructure.
So, to that point, The US is still most stable currency at present. However even DJT is running scared as he threatens to cut off any country trying establish a new monetary standard. He has just told China and Japan to stop their currencies from devaluating thereby making their products more competitive even with tariffs.
Unfortunately the world may just be crumbling a little around the seams as DJT exercises his wisdoms about all things.
You hear JD just called Britain out over they war experiences even though they stood with the US in Afghanistan and Iraq? A real clown show with repercussions not only for theUSA but for the whole "free" world.
