With Trudeau gone there is still a risk of another minority. I think the election will be interesting depending on who wins the Liberal leadership.

Don’t know that that much matters at this point going by the polls. Just came across this online. Letters to the editor as it were from the other side of the border. Our neighbours aren’t all redneck a-holes just 51.6% of them …

That's not nearly the same thing and the majority of the Canadian voting population voted against the PC's and there POS leader not for our PM. Like it or not that is our system.

PC's. - 33.74% (5,747,410)
Lib. - 32.62% (5,556,629)
NDP - 17.82% (3,036,348)
Bloc - 7.64% (1,301,615)
Peop. - 4.94% (840,993)
Green - 2.33% (396,988)

So 65.35% of Canadians voted other than the PC's and 66.47% of Canadians voted for other than the Liberals.

So your statement works both ways..... "The majority of Canadians voted for "Bloc Québécois, the libs and the NDP" or I can say the actual majority of Canadians voted for the Bloc Québécois, the PC's, the NDP, and lets not forget the Green and the Peoples.

I guess if Poilievre gets in we will see if his common sense philosophy claim rings true and guides him any better than JT's dishonest ethics and waste philosophy guided him...

It took until 2025 for the word "czar" to make it into the usa govt.
Until then, it was solely a Russian term.......for dictator.

I would suggest that we needed something similar long before now. But that might have interfered with the relaxation of laws around hard drugs and “ safe supply “ whatever the heck that is supposed to be. The Tories today have said they would be in favour of a life sentence for traffickers of fentanyl. Sounds extreme perhaps until you consider how many thousands of people it has and is killing.

It’s a much larger problem than most people realize it would seem. When you consider that estimates of interdiction of illegal substances of all types at border crossings is approximately 10% it’s easy to extrapolate the true amount on the move and much of it is being produced right here in Canada.
Recently, several significant fentanyl operations have been dismantled in Canada:
1. Falkland, British Columbia: In November 2024, authorities dismantled what was described as the country’s largest drug laboratory. This facility had the capacity to produce approximately 96 million doses of opioids, including fentanyl. The operation involved sophisticated techniques often associated with Mexican cartels.
2. Project Odeon in Ontario: From January to July 2023, this operation led to the dismantling of multiple illegal opioid production sites in the Greater Hamilton and Toronto Area, resulting in the seizure of over 25 kg of fentanyl along with other synthetic drugs.
3. Chilliwack and Abbotsford: On February 4, 2025, a coordinated police operation dismantled a drug trafficking network, seizing 1,249 grams of fentanyl, which equates to approximately 12,490 potentially lethal doses.
These operations reflect a broader trend of increasing sophistication and scale in fentanyl production and trafficking within Canada.

Application is likely not necessary if you're a relative of JT, good friend, or are willing to give the Libs a massive campaign donation (under the table of course).

Like PP won't take a "contribution"? LOL Show me a politician and I'll show you a crook. That's one huge problem with politics in general. It costs too much to get to be a party leader. It was something like $300,000 to be in the running to be the lib party leader. They all owe somebody for something or another.

And to think the CEO's of major drug companies who fed opioids to, and fucked up & killed large numbers of people are walking around "scot free".
