Guys thank you, so far the info and reassurance. Here's what I know about the car, it was brought approximately 10 years ago to Ontario from Chicago Ill, the car barely ran. The current owner not put off, phoned the former owner to discuss what he knew. the car had been purchased through a auction in New York state. He turned his attention and investigative abilities to the place in Rochester NY. Some one there had pulled the the engine and replaced the block from a I think 88. When the engine went back in, the bolt holes between the block and bell housing didn't line up. Needless to say, the car had a few issues. On the possitive side the original block John found out was still sitting around and with a pickup truck, he brought the orginal block back. The orginal block was put back into shape by a local engine shop. A new bell housing came from Dino's Corvettes as it had been damaged, the engine currently has 8000 mile since refresh. Clutch, brakes are the same vintage. Everything appears to be working, I'm aware that the electronic dash can be a source of aggreivation. Door seals, and new carpet kit are installed. Left to do is paint, and seat covers need to be recovered or something, no tears though.
