is there a way to adjust the headlights so when they are closed they are flat and flush with hood? mine dip in at the leading edge closest to bumper.
Thanks
did as you said, checked manual it says unplug wiring then turn etc. did that, when plugged back in it went back to original position, down on front and high at the rear. turned knob under the motor right?
First take the headlight cover off...The one that is inside/down when the lights are off. To do that you must unplug the motor conection. Once you have it off Loosen the 4 10mm bolts that hold the door (the flat cover) and plug the conector in for a couple of seconds to seat itNow carefully tap on the coners from either inside or outside as needed till you get it where you want it...also watch the gap around the door. Once everything is how you want it tighten the 10mm bolts and make certain it didn't move while tightening. Replace cover and do the other side.
You might need to adjust the stops if it is too far out. They look like plastic bolt heads that contact the underside of the hood to stop travel. They realy need to be done with the motor unplugged and turning the emergancy knob to releive tension before turning.
